Crimea. Adventures in the February forest
I want to immediately note that this picture of the winter Crimean forest, presented here in the photographs, is not all over the Crimea, but only in that part of it, which is on the southern coast.
Recently Dima Moskovsky drove up to me and we decided to run with him to the nearest woods, the one above Alupka, to look at primroses. They reached Kasimovka (above upper Alupka), from which they climbed to a large forest pond - a reservoir,. From it you can go to the Jewish trail, or rather the dirt road leading to the plateau at the At-Bash cliff, and if you turn right, then to the foot of the huge rock of Shaan-Kai.
They went to the pond. This pond is so big that it is called a lake. Pretty beautiful place.
Especially without stopping, we went further up.
From time to time, the shreds of fog covered not only the sun from us, but also the nearby mountains and rocks.
And from the mist stretched bare branches of dead pines.
Ten years ago in the forest over Simeiz and Alupka there was a strong fire that destroyed most of the century-old forest.
Foresters and local residents planted a new forest on the site of the burner. Seedlings have already grown.
I am glad that in addition to the planted, we saw a lot of samoseyantsev. The forest is being restored.
So come here in a hundred years and you will see the unforgettable beauty of the Shaancayan forest,
which we have seen before that terrible fire.

The fog cleared.
One can clearly see the bulk of Shaan-Kai and its appendage - the so-called small Shah-kai.
They went under the Malaya Shaan-Kaya, to a small captive building. There are a lot of streams in the forest, sources.
In the spring, all these streams spread over forest roads, trails. In some places springs are capturing. Brooks are collected in small ponds,
which serve as a reserve of water in case of ignition of the forest. The tragedy of 2007. taught a lot.
Just below the water intake found a glade with yellow crocuses.
Bushes iglitsy. There were no snowdrops anywhere, and they should not grow here in a coniferous forest
For snowdrops went to another forest, above Katsiveli.
Between the villages of Landslide and Blue Bay is a rock-fortress Biyuk-Isar.
There, behind the vineyard, left the car.
Going into the forest, immediately came across snowdrops.
23. Gentle crocuses grew nearby.
And then they went out on a whole glade of snowdrops.
Snowdrops were everywhere - even grew in a creek.
Finally, one more crocus was taken, growing among the young grass weaving, and we went home with a sense of deep satisfaction.
34. And at the house we were again met by independent Crimean cats and kitties.
