Schoolboy refuses to eat: causes and help
What could be the reasons
The most common are pathological and psychological.
Infections: intestinal tract infection with worms or infections of the mouth. Appetite may be absent while taking medications that are taken to treat the infection.
Diseases: chickenpox, reduced thyroid hormone, measles or rubella in a child can cause a lack of appetite due to the symptoms of the disease: itching, poor sleep, fever, vomiting, anxiety. High temperatures during flu, colds, and allergies are also a common cause of decreased appetite.
Psychological state:influence of friends, relationships at school and at home. Watch your child, talk to him. Is everything in order in school, is there any reason why he may feel depressed or upset.Perhaps the concern is the new team or the girl you like (the guy). It is possible that lack of appetite is associated with an attempt to get your attention.
If you observe that a teenager often refuses to eat, do not forget about such factors as season change, sleep disturbance, the postoperative period, dietary habits.
