Lubrication changes only in the case of operation at high loads and speeds. In addition to its long service life, the advantage of grease lubrication is that it protects the bearing well from the influence of the external environment. Examples of such a lubricant are solidol, lithol, ciatim.
Liquid lubricants are the mostthe preferred lubricant for bearings. Their undeniable advantage is that they have a better permeability compared to plastic greases, and also excellent heat and particles of worn material. However, their advantages are also their drawbacks. With the use of liquid lubricants, the design costs for retaining the lubricant in the bearing unit increase, and there is still a high probability of leakage.
Summing up, it should be said that the mainthe criteria for choosing the lubricant for the bearing are the external conditions in which it will work, the speed of rotation, the shock load. In 90% of cases plastic bearing grease is used, as the most rational solution.
