What is measured in watts?
Not many people know what is measured in watts, althoughalmost every month they meet with this term, taking indicators from their individual electric meter. As well as on counters, and on other electrical devices, you can always find data on the number of watts that they need to work.
So. A watt is a unit of power measured by an international system of units (SI). In a word, in watts, the power is measured, in which a work of 1 joule is performed in one time interval (1 second). Watt is nothing but a derived unit of measurement, and it is related to units of the international measurement system by certain relations.
Above we have given the concept of mechanical power. There are also electric and thermal power. As a unit for measuring power, Watt was adopted in 1882, during the second congress of the British Scientific Association. It is named after the inventor of the first steam engine of the Scottish-Irish inventor James Watt (Watt).
